The amazing game of football

I enjoy nothing more than being a commentator for the Missouri tigers. I get to enjoy watching them play and each year I watch players come and go some leaving their legacies behind for other s to follow. I get first hand information on each game and all the behind the scene scoop on players and coaches. I am one of the most important person in the game because people need to understand and follow what is happening. There is no other game as exciting as football. It is simply amazing to our Missouri Tigers dash across the field trying to outplay each other and then one quarterback breaks free and make a touchdown. The excitement of football doesn’t only happen on a field but within the sportscaster’s circle we too are always on the edge bringing all that excitement to loyal fans.

Life as a Sportscaster

I love sports but I suck at actual playing any active sports. It’s not that I’m lazy but and being a sportscaster is all I ever wanted to do. Being a broadcaster for the Missouri tigers is the best thing that could have happened to me .The job comes with a lotta perks that I don’t mind at all. Free entrance to games, meeting famous players and coaches but beyond all that I enjoy just discussing the game with people who share my interest. Overtime I become just as important as the game players. People value my opinion and ask me what I think. I am the in person that bridges the gap between the player and the game.  That to me is beyond anything that I could ever dream of.

Missouri Tigers Top Competitors

One of the most interesting and exciting aspect of college football is the rivalry. The intensity is felt by players and fans alike and whichever team comes out on top usually earn their bragging rights. Missouri Tigers and their rivals go way back. Some of these rivalries have only been quelled since the teams moved to SEC (Southeastern) and the Big Ten Conference. In the annual Border Wars, the Missouri Tigers compete against The Kansas Jayhawks.  This is one of the biggest competitions in the history of college sport. Nebraska is another great rival and the football series between these two teams was another great football competition to look forward to. Oklahoma State is another fierce competitor and has matched skills with Missouri Tigers on many occasions. These two teams compete for what is called the Tiger-Sooner Peace Pipe. The trophy itself is presented in a ceremony where they smoke the actual pipe. Another rival worthy of mentioning is Iowa State where the Telephone trophy is presented to whoever of the two wins the game.

Missouri Tigers vs Oklahoma state @ AT & T stadium

The AT&T Stadium was alive and in full swing with Missouri Tigers and Oklahoma State. It was game night as these two teams went up for the cotton bowl. Kickoff was 8pm and top performer Chelf was out to help his team bring home the trophy. Running 377 yards and two touchdowns  along with josey’s three touchdowns, Missouri tiger was able to outplay Oklahoma state ending with a n exciting 41 31 win.

Dec 7th 2013 Missouri Tigers vs. Auburn Atlanta

Auburn tigers beat Missouri tigers and cop the SEC championship setting a SEC championship record with a total of 677 yards. The Missouri tigers suffered a loss but the Auburn Tigers definitely outplayed them. Player Nick Marshall completed 9 of 11 passes for 133 yards and a touchdown but it was Tre Mason who was definitely player of the game going 303 yards and four touchdowns with 45 carries. Fans could sense a lot of tension in the game that went beyond just the normal football fever. Four quarters after their 4pm kickoff the Missouri Tigers had loss to Oklahoma State 59-42.

Missouri Tigers vs Texas A& M @ Colombia Missouri.

With Kickoff time at 6:45, on Saturday nov 30th the Faurot Field came alive for the showdown between Missouri Tigers and Texas A and M. The first three quarters was a slow downplayed starter for key player Franklin. The final quarter saw him step up his game and in end the better team won.  It was a significant win for Coach Gary Pinkel. This was his 101st win for his team and that milestone matched yup to legendary head coach Don Faurot. Little over 10 minutes left in the game and both teams were tied at 21. Lead player Johnny Manziel was at his best but James Franklin outplayed him completing 18 of 28 passes for 233 yards and two touchdowns. Missouri stepped up their game in the third quarter and sent everyone into a series of excitement. What I noticed was how consistent Missouri was in their defense and Texas A and M were beaten matching up only in the final quarter. It was a much deserved win for the tigers.
